This long holiday weekend was spent flipping Jem back over, as she would start griping a minute into her self-imposed tummy time and hit full wail if I didn't move fast enough. Every nap. Every bit of floor time. Flip. Mer. WAH! [intervention] Flip. Mer. WAH! [intervention] I ended up digging out the circle entertainer to get her vertical, which she seemed to enjoy immensely. Especially the mirror. What? A baby? Right here smiling -- at ME? Hoo! She quickly learned how to press the star to hear, "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." Over and over again.
This morning, Bug and I were getting in some cuddle time as Jem hung out on the floor. She flipped herself over onto her tummy. I removed my arm from around Bug, readying to save Jem at the Mer stage. Looking down to make sure I wasn't pulling Bug's hair, I missed the counter roll. When I looked back down at Jem, she lay on her back grinning up at us. So very pleased was she. She never repeated this, though. Back to the process.
