Bug woke up a few times during the night, but went right back to sleep each time after getting a generous slathering of Baby Orajel. That is, until 5:10. No more bed, no way, no how.
After some cartoons, reading and an egg breakfast, Bug signed "toilet." She had just been changed, but she was insistent. I followed her, this little girl on a mission, into the bathroom. She looked around, grabbed two towels off the shelf, and looked at me.
"You want to take a bath?" ::solemn nod and "dah," throws towels into tub::
"Towels don't go in the tub, silly! How about a washcloth?" ::grabs three and throws them in tub::
"How about some toys?" ::grabs all toys and throws them in tub; tries to climb into tub::
She washed up and played, throwing her toys around to make big splashes and trying to catch the bubbles I blew for her. Oh so happy she was.
Several minutes after I had put the bubbles away, Bug stopped drinking water from the peri-bottle, stood up and pointed to the bubble bottle on the table.
"[garble] [garble] Iwa [garble] mo booba."
I could hardly contain myself here. "You want more bubbles?" ::solemn nod and "dah," signs "please"::
My baby just said her first spoken sentence!
She got many more bubbles, and she squealed with delight as they floated around her while she resumed drinking from the peri-bottle.
